There seems to be so much contradictory information regarding amanita muscaria, and I'm hoping we can catalogue a good amount of personal experiences. I have, personally, never tried amanitas, but ever since my first aya ceremony, I have been felling super drawn to them (have even been having dreams about them). I have no idea wtf that's about, but I've been feeling called to work with its medicine, in some way.
I have read so many accounts of complete dissociation/coma/convulsions, to the point of very dangerous things happening. I've also read so many accounts of deep, entheogenic experiences ... so I'm super confused. Any experiences would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏻

I work with them all the time and have shared them with many people. People having bad experiences either misidentified them and ate the wrong kind, didnt dry and cure them, or ate way too many. They are not dangerous but you can fall into a deep sleep if you eat way too many. No reason to eat that much though. Generally if used properly they are light and dreamy and insightful. In large doses they get more intimidating, but so does any medicine. If mixed with another medicine it will generally be a super strong and intense combo. To make sure our threads are connected for future research purposes I will also include the link the other Amanita thread, as it will be way easier for research later if the info is in one place: soulremedy.freeforums.net/thread/12/amanita-muscaria

(I didn't even realize there was a specific place for amanitas, so thank you.) That's all good to know. Nowadays, I'm really only interested in entheoginic substances, and that which may lubricate the way to healing, in whatever form. Amanitas sound like they are visionary, as opposed to "psychedelic," which is still a little weird for me to grasp--just because I've worked with so many psychedelics that have lent themselves well to entheoginic experiences.

Amanitas are usually less visionary. They are a dissacociative. Mixed with psychedelics though they are extremely visionary.

Ok, got it! 🙏🏻 What would be the top three benefits you've received from working strictly with amanitas? I dont generally work with them on their own. I think when used on their own they are especially nice microdosing for some issues like sciatica, chronic pain, or lyme.... When I meditated with them on their own it led to similar benefits as other medicines and helped me know myself more deeply, but in a gentle and meditative way. I didnt push the dosage very high, so I had lighter experiences.
