I really believe politics have put our medicine on the wrong path... But I see changes and it makes me hopeful for the future. We are lucky to have this plant growing on the Earth, and lucky that finally people are starting to see its value and support its medical use. Families like this sharing their struggle and hope are so special.
Such a powerful plant, it is downright insane that it is scheduled 1 - which means supposedly it is dangerous and not-medicinal. How could anyone trust a government so backwards about something with so much research backing it up and such a long history of use by humans (going back thousands of years).
I think things are finally changing for the better now though. I pray things keep moving in the right direction.
I've been there for friends and relatives who fought cancer. Chemo and radiation have damaging long-term effects-----fried brains, brittle bones, impaired immune systems, loss of limbs. A friend got a tumor removed but refused further treatment, no further exploratory surgery, no chemo, no radiation. He lived rather well for almost 3 years. And died at 85 after 2 weeks in an uncaring facility. Treatment would have been painful and not extended his life. Cancer is a huge money-maker for the drug companies and hospitals--- one friend spent 500K on care ( with insurance). Herbs and clean food are cheap. What horrifies me are the parents who don't try holistic anything and let their kids lose arms and legs and chunks of brain. I know it's not everyone's choice but I wish it was easier to find the information for everyone. The book Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy made a lasting impression on me---- that you have to take responsibility and devote yourself to healing and maintaining that health.
I am not sure marijuana in general, but some cannabis products are really very beneficial. I do buy cannabis oil in Canada, it is an absolutely legal deal in my case. This oil is a perfect remedy to relieve pain, reduce stress and anxiety, I sleep better using cannabis oil for aromatherapy.
